In our upcoming release (1.6.5) the EvoStream Media Server will support server side playlist. This will allow you to provide a sequence of streams (live and vod) to play through for your customers. A live stream can be played indefinitely until it is no longer available, it will then switch to the next item in the playlist. You can listen for an InStreamCreated event and then call the insertPlaylistItem API call to switch the user back to the live stream when it becomes available again.
