Answer for Browsers cache HLS playlist

Hi Xai Thanks for the reply. Of course one of the main benefits of HLS is that it needs no browser plugin. Unfortunately I can’t mess with client settings either as it could be any number of browsers anywhere. When debugging locally I can see browsers (witnessed the issue in both Chrome and Firefox latest versions) polling the server for the latest playlist but for some reason using a cached copy. This only ever happens if the incoming stream to EMS goes down. It’s almost like if it goes down the playlist file is set to never expire from cache. I will do some more digging! Chris
