Yeah, thanks …. that’s actually what I was anticipating that I’d have to do. But, I wondered if there were any other alternatives.
Here’s another question then … so, say I find the right file, based on the time. And say that I’ve been chunking them for 5 minutes at a time. So I start a stream for that file, it runs for 5 minutes, but the user might actually want the last 15 minutes of video. How do I handle that? IOW, after the first 5 minute stream ends, how can I automatically send them the second 5 minute stream, and so on.
And would these be sent via VOD or some other way? I guess I’m going to have to coordinate more with the other side of this application … the UI parts that are going to be requesting these streams … to see how they plan to use this. But, at this point, I’m still trying to learn what all the capabilities of are of EMS to see how we can easily fit it into our application (we’ve bought a license, so I know we’re committed to using it).
