Browsers cache HLS playlist
Having a little issue where if a feed incoming to EMS goes down for whatever reason, of course the HLS playlist stops updating (which is fine) and clients continue to receive the last moments of live stream on loop. This isn’t a problem for us.
What does seem to be an issue is that when the incoming feed resumes, EMS correctly handles it and automatically reconnects and resumes as normal, but it seems any web browser that has been viewing the loop continues to load it’s cached copy of the playlist and hence does not receive new video. Any new clients that connect during this period receive the new live video feed but the ones that were connected previously do not.
Is there a setting or anything I have missed that will be able to resolve this issue?
Many thanks
