Hello techq! Here is what you need:
  • EMS
  • stream source
  • Website server
Steps:
  1. Add the stream source using the EMS (http://docs.evostream.com/ems_how_to_guide/addlive)
  2. Do playback on your EMS using VLC or other media player making sure the stream is ingested (http://docs.evostream.com/ems_how_to_guide/playlive)
  3. On your website, do a playback like what you did on step 2
Note: the steps provided are for RTMP and RTSP only, you can also use HTTP streams such as HLS for this.  Please see http://docs.evostream.com for more details. Hope this helps!   Thank you!

Hi. We have a Hikvision DS-2CD2010-I IP camera with H.264 compression. We want our users to see the streams from two of these cameras on a web portal. Currently, the two cameras are connected to an Ethernet Switch along with a Raspberry Pi. The Pi converts the streams to FLV format and sends it to the EMS. Our cameras do not have a static IP. Is this the best way to do it, because there is a huge time lag and availability is always a question. Can we avoid using the Raspberry Pi?
