Installation trial on a Mac

Hi Guys can find page that is the quick start guide for linux windows and AWS but cannot find one for Mac.
Specifically because of one line in the how to document which says
However, for safety, the Evo Stream Media Server should NOT be installed into the web root of the target computer
By this I am assuming it means /sites ?
I was looking to install into MachintoshHD/Sites/ems but would like to be sure this is OK

Hi Mark,
If your Mac is setup with a web server which uses the Sites folder as its web root folder, it would not be secure to install the EMS there as the EMS files may be accessible to the public. You may however put the EMS media, evo-webservices, EMS Web UI and miscellaneous demo HTML files there for public access. The EMS should be installed outside the web root folder for security.
The EMS configuration files may be changed to define the locations of the media and web root folders.
