Lazy-pulling RTSP/RTMP and requesting other protocol?
Is it possible to use .vod files to pull RTMP and RTSP streams on demand but request the streams using another supported protocol? The documents say that .vod files currently only support RTMP and RTSP but it isn’t clear whether that is only referring to pulling or also pushing. http://docs.evostream.com/ems_user_guide/capabilities#lazy-pull—vod-files I’m trying to set up a solution that will allow us to stream on web without using flash player, but have been unable to find any viable options for RTSP playing. Ideally, if we could just use an HTML5 video tag, that would be amazing.
Thank you, that helps. I have been looking around on the forums for a good choice to do HTML5 streaming using EMS and I’ve seen a few references to an HTML5 video player bundle. Does that refer to the functionality mentioned here: https://evostream.com/features/sub-second-html5/ Also, where can I get this video player? I think it would solve the problem we are currently working on.
Any clarification on this? We have a license for Evostream Media Server and would very much like to use this if we could.
Hi, sorry I got confused with all the back-and-forth. But if you are referring to the webrtc and websocket players, yes, these are already available, but lazy pull support for these players is non-existent at the moment and is currently being developed. Once they are ready for production, we will let you know.
Is there a recommended solution for lazy-pulling and streaming on an HTML5 web-player. We need to avoid any flash technologies as well.
