maxrtmp buffer

maxrtmp buffer

admin Staff asked 9 years ago
i tried moving around those parameters in the config.lua file (applications section) maxRtmpOutBuffer=128*1024, –was 512*1024, split by 2 (must be even), clientSideBuffer=5, –was 15 i later tried also (even for rtsp as we have rtsp sources, even though that’d be input buffer…): maxRTSPOutBuffer=128*1024, –unknown default? i tried moving up and down multiplying and dividing by 2, but i don’t get significant improvements. setup time is still around 10-13 seconds in rtmp/rtmps playback, and looks independent to those parameters. rtsp report: i tryed RTSP playback from .vod files and it’s even slower, about 20 seconds. mp4 playback (pseudoVOD) in RTSP is surprisingly far more faster (1 second or less vs 20 seconds). what’s the difference between VOD and pseudoVOD, that causes such a great deal of setup time? direct pull report: i tried pulling ip-cameras and keeping them online, though this is not desirable when the number of cameras is high due to band occupancy, and the report is as follows: rtmps playback with live=1 ffplay is about 5-7 seconds. rtsp playback is about 2-3 seconds. any other suggestions?
