Simple Instructions Needed
We’re trying different options for our church: Wowza, EvoStream and Unreal Media Stream.
I’m the one responsible to test the EvoStream but I’m having a hard time figuring out how it works. By far the easiest one is the Unreal Media Stream as it took 15 minutes to get it working.
Here is what we need:
We need to distribute our live stream feed to the various parts of the church. Essentially, streaming live sermon video over local network.
The streaming server is a Windows 10 i7 4790k / 32 GB RAM, SSD disks / Video capture card – Blackmagic Decklink Quad
We need to capture whatever is coming into the capture card.
The users in the church need to be able to watch the streaming using a computer(Chrome, Safari, IE).
Initially we are going to have about 5 users only.
Could you give me any directions on how to do this or send me a step-by-step guide? I found the documentation a little bit confusing.

Hello techq!
For the initial test of your stream you may follow the instructions here: http://docs.evostream.com/ems_user_guide/runtimeapi#my-first-call-api
The users in the church need to be able to watch the streaming using a computer(Chrome, Safari, IE).We have several options for playback:
- Network streaming using media players, no need for web browsers – http://docs.evostream.com/ems_user_guide/runtimeapi#my-first-call-api
- Streaming over the Web Sockets – http://docs.evostream.com/ems_how_to_guide/websockets (Please note that IE and Safari is not supported for that feature.)
- HLS streaming – not recommended for the scenario but if opted to use Safari, please follow: http://docs.evostream.com/ems_user_guide/protocolsupport#http-live-streaming-hls
