Streams stop

I am having an issue at the moment on a new installation where streams are stopping after only a couple of hours. The symptoms I get on my three HLS streams are that the playlist.m3u8 file starts 404’ing. Upon further investigation I found the following in the logs: 1434402731:0:/common/src/utils/misc/file.cpp:82:Initialize:Unable to open file /var/www/blah/playlist.m3u8 with mode `a+b`. Error was: (24) Too many open files I then did a lsof, which confirmed each of the 3 streams had hundreds of the playlist.m3u8 files still open, but the files were all marked deleted. It’s as though when it updates the playlist it’s removing the file but leaving the handle open. Any ideas what would cause this? Currently the server works fine with a manual restart but not really practical every couple of hours! Thanks
