view counter with varnish

Hi.
We have some evostream servers installed and those are behind a varnish server to cache the chunks.
Our varnish server has 10GbE and our evostream servers are only VM so they can’t handle the direct traffic.
Is there a good way to get the counter of viewers with varnish or should i stay this question to varnish?
