I can't get eovstreamms to run. Please see log from console below. Although the documentation tells me to put the License.lic file into /etc/evostream, I also tried it in /etc/evostreamms but no luck.

Hi Bill Malkin,
Please advise the hardware platform where the EMS is installed. You may need a special license if your hardware is non-standard.
Cheers,
Don
Hi Don
Thanks for your quick response.
The platform I’m trialing this on is quite small at the moment:
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E7540 @ 2.00GHz
4 CPUs
1GB memory
30GB disk
Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS (GNU/Linux 2.6.32-042stab079.5 x86_64)
Could the problem be that this older version of Ubuntu is no longer supported by Evostream maybe?
Thanks.
Cheers
Bill

Hi Bill,
Ubuntu 14 is still supported.. Can you send the whole log files to us? You may email it to salessupport@evostream.com.
Also, please check if your Date and Time settings are updated and the ports to be used by EMS are available.
Thank you.
Hi Erica
I’ve just emailed you the log files. (They are not much more than I’ve already sent you.) However, my email was rejected – Your message to salessupport@evostream.com couldn’t be delivered. salessupport wasn’t found at evostream.com. I tried to add these files as attachments to this message but it said this file type is not allowed. I’m not having a very good day! 🙂 Anyway, when I run “service evostreamms start” it says it started successfully but “service evostreamms status’ says that it isn’t running. “ps -e | grep evo” shows that there are two processes running, both called evo-node, although I believe there should be four processes running. “service evostreamms stop” doesn’t stop those two processes so I have to do a “kill -9” to remove them.
My date and time settings are correct. My time zone is UTC+10:30 (Adelaide, Australia) and my server’s timezone, on which I’m running EMS, is UTC+08:00 (Perth, Australia).
All the necessary TCP and UDP ports are available except 554. For this I’m using 5544.
Cheers

Hi Bill!
Sorry I overlooked the email address.. It is salesupport@evostream.com.
Based on your scenario, the EMS shuts down and that is what we need to know why. We will look into your logs and let you know what happened.
Thank you!
